ASSIGNMENT 1.5: WILL PEOPLE USE THE PRODUCT?
Bridge Crossing at School
The crossing bridge is a questionable design due to it requiring more effort to use than simply crossing the street. The task is to design possible ways to encourage children to use the safe bridge crossing to enter their school and not dash across the street which is potentially highly dangerous.

Several solutions were discussed such as: growing bushes as a deterrent since more effort would be needed to pass through than to use the crossing, having a reward system in place such as candy or musical steps to incentivize using the crossing, and painting eyes so that children will feel like they are being watched and therefore will use the bridge more (psychological). The most feasible and cost effective solution tends to be the incentivization of using the crossing as childrens' brains tend to operate on a reward system.
